"Unite the Right" white nationalist march: Ugliness on full display.

Naw, if someone is resistant to education there is only so much you can do. Carry on.

But, honestly, before ripping into someone you did need to determine if it’s ignorance or malice speaking.

Although it occurred to me Sailboat’s wife might know this woman. And let’s not forget there are five people in critical condition. I hope everything turns out okay.

Here you go. There’s this thing called “google”. You might try using it.

There’s this thing called nuance. Typically conversations happen and participants understand these things so conversations don’t get too derailed with hyper pedantic definition seeking. If you truly believe that wearing a costume in extremely bad taste is the same as doing so at a white pride rally, well, okay. Kind of like having a conversation with someone in a different language.

Your first two are the same one guy that Spice Weasel and Quicksilver linked to, and the third is 3 years old. . .and?

You really are reaching, aren’t you?

First, you said there was no Nazi symbolism. Then, when it was shown there was you said it still wasn’t good enough.

OK, we know where you stand.

If a guy that shoots a bunch of white people because he hates white people isn’t equivalent to a Nazi to you then i cant imagine an example that would satisfy you.

The KKK/Nazi apologists in these threads are pretty fucking lazy, or playing dumb, like HurricaneDickhead. In a few minutes looking around pics from Charlottesville, I saw several swastika tattoos and multiple nazi salutes. Like their piece of shit leader in the White House, their equivocating, weaselly language says it all.

Straw flying everywhere! You really beat the shit out of that straw man!

Ha ha, this isn’t the pit thread. Oops.

Here are some of my early posts in this thread:

If you can’t see how that last one is just another in a series of attempts to find factually-correct information then you’re not nearly as astute an observer as I thought you were.

What specifically have I posted that you felt was ‘giv[ing] self-described nazis the benefit of the doubt’ or ‘defend[ing] the indefensible so reflexively and persistently’?

What in the world are you talking about? I’m directly answering thee exact question you asked. How could that possibly be a straw man. Here’s your qurstion again:

Which so lovingly get’s dressed up in drag.

I was going to bring that up. This is already a tragedy, but it could still get worse.

Yep. And it has absolutely nothing to do with right or left. It’s just stupidity on display.

We were discussing the events of Charlottesville, not every possible bad actor in history.

For the most part, I agree. But these people really think that Trump is on their side (and say so repeatedly), and IMO Trump has not done enough to renounce them. Trump has used really ugly language about people like Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other Democratic politicians – but he’s unwilling to use the same ugly language about David Duke and other white supremacists. Why doesn’t he say these white supremacists are pathetic losers? Why doesn’t he say they are terrible Americans, and dangerous to America? I think it’s because Trump can’t find it within himself to criticize people who love him, even when the people loving him in question are really terrible, terrible people.

What I’m asking for isn’t much. Just that Trump should tweet and publicly say as ugly insults about David Duke and white supremacists as much as he does about Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the Democrats.

Why doesn’t he?

no I didn’t

no I didn’t

no you dont

BigT and my post that started this line of discussion clearly weren’t limited to this latest event and its nonsense to suggest they were.

Any Friedman Unit now, I’m sure.

I’ll be curious to read about how he blows this first big skirmish off as those darned liberals’ fault.

Okay, black supremacist killers are as bad as white supremacist killers, but I still think it’s bullshit to say (pretend, really) that there’s any significant group on the left today that’s anywhere near as bad (and as significant) as white supremacists and neo-nazis.
