Impossible to know, but I would assume that the markets are fully pricing in TACO at this point. If Trump backed down yesterday because he was scared of the effects on markets he will certainly do so again.

Iran may have endured enormous losses but politically they are more powerful than ever. And the new Ayatollah is even more radical than the last one.
For Israel I think it’s even worse. They’ve been trying for decades to convince the US to attack Iran. They should have been more careful with what they wished for. I cannot see Israel maintaining a ceasefire; a continuation of the Iranian revolution is not something they will ever tolerate. But now they risk angering their most powerful partner, and the relationship with the US is only going to become more difficult as a result, seeing how unpopular and damaging it has been.
ISTM the war is a total disaster for basically everyone but the IRGC, which has cemented control of the country, raised its popularity among its people, and is now in control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Maybe don’t start a war with idiots in charge, no mission, no strategy, and no plan?

Bloomberg Radio has had at least two guests today who have been really critical of the lack of anything to show for the effort, and IMO Bloomberg tries really hard to be as centerline as they can.
