Lest we forget, it was just two days ago that trump said that he wasn’t happy with the ongoing negotiations, but he was willing to give them more time.
God Trump forbid! We don’t want to liberate Iran only to have it taken over by fascist communism! Or is it communist fascism?
Do I really need to put a /s or a ?>
Because his definition of “persuasion” is that the person/business/country upon whom pain is inflicted comes to him saying “what do you want me to give you to stop hurting me”. And then that makes him the great negotiator.
We already saw in Venezuela that even if most of the regime stays in place but now he can say “we’re running the show” (meaning, we are the ones profiting), that is satisfactory to him.
Entering Milo Minderbinder territory faster than I thought. Everybody* gets a cut and he is closer to the No Bell Piece of Ass Praise he so covets. Win / win / win / tired of winning!
* That is him, his family and some of his friends.
I think every nation knows that they cannot trust One. Single. Thing. that comes out of his mouth. He (and by extension the United States) is now a completely untrustworthy rogue state.
Can you image if there is a faction within Iran that is ready to replace the current regime. Do you think that they have any confidence that they’d be supported if they rise up? Assistance can, and will, be withdrawn on a whim.
Especially true for the current US regime—why would Donald give a single dollar in support to ‘the people of Iran’? There’s clearly no profit in that for him.
Donald is so powerful that at his word, the very laws of physics are repealed!!!1!!
The internet is full of memes depicting Operation Epstein Fury.
Iran’s Prince Reza Pahlavi was interviewed tonight on 60 Minutes.
His proposal to lead a transitional government is interesting. I think safe guards would be needed to ensure free elections are held within a set time period.
I doubt the Prince would survive more than a week in Iran. The Islamists would never allow the Shah’s son to take power. I’m very surprised they didn’t assassinate him thirty to 40 years ago.
Attacking the Gulf states is monumentally stupid on Iran’s part. I assume they were hoping to pressure the citizenry into pressuring their leadership to cut off American access to their bases or airspace. But if that was their goal, they shouldn’t have attacked civilian targets like airports or high rises.
Fun fact: Iran has attacked more Arab states in the last 24 hours than Israel has in the last 50 years. Iran has completely burnt any bridges it may have had with the Arab world.
While they’re floating around down there, they can, like the Orange One himself once wrote after returning from a trip to Britain, have dinner with the Prince of Whales!
Truly, America is ruled by a genius and a master of language, even if he does say so himself. So there’s obviously a plan to this bombing madness, we’re just not smart enough to see it!
Are they attacking “Arab states” or are they attacking US military bases or other American interests in those states?
Unless the US has super secret bases on the top floor of a high rise or in the main civilian airports of these countries, then no, they aren’t attacking US bases or “other American interests”, whatever that means, in those countries.
It was an honest question to which I don’t know the answer. Why do you think Iran would be interested in indiscriminately attacking its Arab neighbours as a response to American-Israeli aggression?
Yesterday Al Jazeera was saying that most or all of the attacks were on U.S. assets and bases in those countries. This theme has now largely been dropped:
I do want to acknowledge that the horrifying girls school tragedy reports are, while unproven, all too plausible. This is from the New York Times:
