UnitedHealthcare CEO fatally shot in Manhattan [breaking news: 2024-12-04]

Nice! However, I see that the CEO killed was actually the lowest paid of all those shown. It’s always the “poor” that suffer.

(Note: We need a “sarcasm” emoji.)

In this instance, yes. In general, not necessarily.

Yeah. The problem with vigilante justice isn’t that it’s innately wrong, it’s that it goes bad places.

I must say I’m getting sick of hearing about the Monopoly money. Yes they found Monopoly money. I’m sure the experts have worked out that he had access to a Monopoly set. Beyond that, it doesn’t mean shit.

They think he may have taken a bus back to Atlanta, mebbe they should be looking at Atlantic City instead.

Yes, but a Monopoly set missing some of its bills! How many people have one of those in their house? :face_with_monocle:

It was probably Canadian money, but nobody involved recognized it

He’d get there faster on the Reading Railroad.

Feel free to download and share.

Well it’s almost certainly not a hunk of physical evidence that will link the perp to the crime. But it does say something sorta interesting about whatever was going on in that guy’s head.

Yeah, the more I think about it- maybe the amount sends a message. Maybe it’s the amount of claims that were denied to the shooter’s loved one.

This is exactly the thing people were saying Trump would do at his trials. And his lawyers and the judge made it clear to him that a trial is not a political soapbox, it is an process to determine if a crime has been committed. And Trump didn’t testify.

I don’t think it would be any different here. Less, in fact, because I doubt that this guy will have the resources to hire high-powered lawyers, like Trump did.

I think that you’re on to something. There could be a big clue here.

It was the Insurance Adjuster in Manhattan with the pistol!

has anyone checked where Col Mustard was last week?

Looks like they might have found the suspect in Pennsylvania (gift link):

If true, this looks pretty damning. I wonder why he kept the evidence on his person instead of disposing of it by now?

I also wonder why they didn’t leave the country or travel further.

Maybe they want to be caught but they seem to have planned everything in an effort to get away.

I guess we will know soon enough if this turns out to be the correct person.

It was apparently a ghost gun. Ratted out by a McDonald’s employee who will get a $60k reward. They better hope that they can keep their identity secret.

Isn’t this why you use the drive-thru?

Will a Greyhound bus fit under the drivethru overhang?
