Universal Studios Orlando, Munitions Bunker

On a casual browsing of Google Earth, I happened upon this:-

28° 28’ 50.11" N 81° 27’ 57.10" W

Situated behind and between the Men in Black and Simpson rides there appears to be a number of individual shipping containers, separated and secured by earthwork barriers.

In due reverence to my username, I naturally jumped to the conclusion (ass-u-me etc.) that these were for storage/assemblage of the fireworks and pyrotechnic devices used within the park.

Can anyone confirm or deny this for me?

I took a look and while I cannot confirm or deny it does make sense thats where they are storing/setting off the nightly fireworks display.

I live not to far from Universal and while I can hear them going off I can’t see them. But based on your coordinates and where my house is located it would seem to be the most likely spot for it.

Do they disturb your sleep?

Or is it like that train that runs on the track down the road from my house every night at midnight – after a while you tune it out?

They usually go off at about 9 or 10. It does become like a train near your house after a while though. But boy was I surprised when I moved here, I thought ze germans were shelling me.
