UniverSoul Circus - is it for kids?

It’s playing near us this week. Is it a children’s show? Or more stylized like Cirque du Soleil? Don’t get me wrong, I love Cirque, but Celtling isn’t into it yet.

I tried to check it out on youtube, but really wasn’t getting a feel for it. There was one scene with Vegas-like showgirls that gave me pause, but it was fuzzy and hard to see the costumes. Are they decent?

Has anyone been to a show? What’s it like?

Thanks!

IMHO? Haven’t been there, but look like loads of fun. The circus has always been about family fun and half-naked ladies. Hint to parents: Kids find half-naked ladies as much fun as the rest of us, but not in the same ways.

Dude. That is just. . . I don’t even know how to . . . I mean, jebus, dude!!

No. Just no. I don’t take the Celtling to half-naked-lady shows.

No.

Look up pix of circus performers of 50 years ago, and pix from Cirque de Soliel and UniverSoul of today. Dropzone is right. There’s not much difference in costumes of old. Clingy, shape-showing, but the naughty bits are covered up.

There’s a video on UniverSoul’s front page that seems to show a pretty good overview of what they do. Including a quick-cut to a kid in the audience who looks about 4 years old.

My kids and I went a few years ago for Mother’s day. It’s a much more energetic show than Ringling Bros. The acts are different, and the show is smaller, but it’s very much geared towards kids and we found it to be a lot of fun.
