Wow I’ve got some experience on the hair dying part. Since my senior year in high school I’ve dyed my hair about 7 different colors. There was jet black, blonde, orange, blue, green, brown, and yellow (very different than blonde). I do it just because I like the color on me. I do not do it to attract attention or to make myself noticable. I just love seeing all the different bright colors on me. As for piercings and such I’m not much into them but if that is your cup of tea go for it.
I used to dye my hair for lots of reasons. I used to hang out in the punk/hardcore scene in my area, and my long hair was really frowned upon. It was either shaved, buzz cut or mohawk. Looking back at it, the colors helped me fit in when I was still insecure about my new friends. After a while, I would change it to fit my mood or we would just hang out and dye hair for no real reason. (I know, a strange guy activity). I only had my ears pierced and one eyebrow. My friend used to pierce us all for free in my apartment but piercing just wasn’t my thing.
