Here's where the unpierced can stand up and be counted!

I have no piercings. I never wanted any. It’s not because of moral, religious, self-superiority, or social reasons. It’s because I don’t want a needle poking holes in my personal self.

Having blood drawn or being inoculated or getting an IV requires serious effort on my part to remain conscious. Don’t try to be logical with me - it’s not going to happen. I have no problems being a wuss about this.

Oddly enough, last night I dreamed that I couldn’t find my big hoop earring, even tho in the dream, I knew I never wear earrings and I don’t have pierced ears. And that’s why I started this thread - I know very few others who are unpierced. So, be counted! Don’t leave me here all alone!

I also, have no piercings. Years ago my ears were pierced, one hole per ear . Overtime, I just didn’t wear earrings very often and they closed, I’m fine with that. I do have to give myself injections every other week for my rheumatoid arthritis and have to get blood work done every three months. That’s become so routine, I don’t even think about it anymore. Would I pierce my ears again or have any other parts pierced? Nah, no desire.

I have no problems with needles; I used to give my diabetic cat injections daily and can watch phlebotomists take my blood with composure.

Nevertheless, I don’t have any body parts pierced and never did. Just not interested in it. I don’t wear jewelry except for the occasional necklace.

Am I the only one who had to re-read the title a few times to figure out this thread has nothing to do with piercing a can and standing it up? “the unpierced can stand up?”
In reply to the OP… I am not pierced… but I’m a guy; so there’s that.

#metoo.
I have to give my self insulin everyday. No piercings. It always just seem needless (needle-less, ha!) to me.

No piercings here, no tattoos, no hair-dying! Au natural.

I have no piercings. Nor any tattoos. Can’t see the point, really.

Enright3 What does being a guy have to do with being pierced? I suppose it was typically known as a feminine activity but there are many men who are pierced these days and throughout history. I did read the title the same as you though, lol. I was thinking of someone stabbing a metal can and counting them on a shelf or something.

Left Eyebrow and Ear pierced. Tattoo on side of upper left bicep and some brandings. Had the ear pierced since I was 13. Took two Ice Cubes, a sewing needle, a lighter and rubbing alcohol and a bathroom mirror and about 3 minutes to do. I also watch phlebotomy like Miss Mapp. It just depends on the person. There are much worse things in life than needles. Like Bears… or vegan hot dogs (just tried these yesterday, insta-gag) or missing the bottom step…

I’m a guy with no piercings and no tattoos. But I am considering getting a tattoo. Just have to find a hairless spot to put it.

Piercing a can and standing it up? You people are weird!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

If we’re going to include tats, nope, never wanted one. But I have colored my hair in the past. And I think if the bright colors that are available today were a thing in the olden days when I was a teen, I would have wanted them. My mom wouldn’t have allowed it, but I still would have wanted it. Now I’m just too tired to bother with it.

My ears were pierced, but I haven’t worn earrings in so long they’ve likely closed up again.

Quite so.
I’m a retired bloke (with grey hair.)

I support the OP.

I knew Robin Williams was still alive.

No piercings, no tattoos, no hair!

In the words of Red Green: “When I grew up, the idea was to leave life with the same number of holes you started with.”

Preach it, Red. No piercings, no tats. Never considered either, either.

I don’t even wear a watch.

This has me thinking of unfortunate ways in which blockages, or unintentional wounds, could be, uh, mathematically compensated for…

I’m unattractive enough there’s not much attractive about making it worse with externalia.

I was avoiding this thread because I’m a guy and (when I last looked) it seemed like a thread for the females, but since the floodgates have opened…

No piercings, no tats, no hair dye, no body modifications whatsoever. (I do wear a watch though.) In my case it’s due to aversion - I don’t like the look of piercings or other body modifications, even the basic single pair of ear piercings on women. I’m also deterred by makeup and perfume.

I’m a freak.
Other irrelevant details about me that nobody else cares about:

I haven’t avoided piercings due to a needle aversion, but I do have one, so that’s worked out well. Unfortunately though I’m also borderline type-2 diabetic so I hope treatment advances in a real hurry or I’m in for massive non-fun-times in my future. Getting my blood drawn for tests twice a year is bad enough already.

Based on this post I can’t spell peircing (or rather, piercing) properly to save my life.

Was pierced…closed up…no holes now other than the ones I was born with.
