Unnatural History - anyone watching?

This week marked the second episode. About a boy named Henry whose parents have sent him to live in various different countries by himself his whole life, giving him various multicultural abilities and a sense of worldliness but at the same time a lack of a sense of pop culture or general Americana. He’s sent to Washington DC to a private school tied to a museum, where he meets two friends, his geeky but more pop culture savvy male cousin, and a female smarty pants, amidst the mystery of his godfather’s murder.

Totally derivative…but in a good way. A mix of Young Indiana Jones, parkour, the Harry Potter underage adventure trio, actual history lesson, and Warehouse 13…also immature (a young adult series like Harry Potter, and slighter lighter fare)…plus multiculturalism porn (the main character Henry has lived in various countries his whole life).

Anyone else watching? It has all the elements to be derivative and cliché and yet I’m totally loving it…

My younger son and I loved the first episode but missed last Sunday. Can’t DVR it until Saturday? This seems like a high budget show. Wonder why they don’t show it more often. At any rate, we’ll be watching until it gets cancelled.
