Update & A Thank You for Previous Questions Asked

I asked a question back in March regarding removing a facial cleanser and another in August regarding nail polish brushes. Instead of opening both of those threads again, I thought I’d post here instead. (The recent spate of zombie threads are rather grating on the nerves and I didn’t want to contribute.)

In the March thread: If your facial cleanser says to tissue off, what do you specifically use to do so? I asked what products people used to remove a tissue of cleanser (go fig). The general consensus was a warm washcloth, which isn’t the best option right now. I did eventually try it, but it still didn’t leave my skin feeling right and was quite a mess. Then one day I literally stumbled on these giant cotton pads for face cleaning on drugstore.com (Swisspers Facial Cleansing Pads) and decided to try them. Using them dry didn’t make much of a difference, but it didn’t require a million cotton rounds. I did add a bit of water and voila (!) what a difference! I’m not sure of the difference between the washcloth and the giant cotton pad (one side super soft the other allegedly exfoliating) but this worked the best so far. I appreciate all who contributed to the thread. Also, I suggested to my mom that she try Moonlitherial’s idea about the specific washcloths for her face and her own basket for them and she’s been enjoying it.

In August I asked: Can I “Save/Preserve” Nail Polish Brushes for Later Use? I usually use OPI and some time back they came out with a pro-wide brush that has made such a difference for me. As I trade out empty bottles for new ones, if the new one still has the old brush I replace it if I have one. (I have a lot of discontinued polish :: shakes fist at OPI for changing polishes so much :: ) I’ve recently been using some other polishes that have the thinner, more usual brush and it’s not as easy for me to use. I really appreciate Lynn’s suggestion to try a flat brush # 2 and plan to check out the craft stores this weekend. Also, zweisamkeit suggested using nail polish thinner. I am a big fan of nail polish thinner. Throw away polish? The horror! Next thing you’ll tell me to cut my hair or not dye it red! Its like my Da and Sweetpea teasing me about selling my discontinued polish on eBay. :stuck_out_tongue: As an aside about NOT using acetone to thin polish, I know about that but while pursing the Sally Hansen site, it suggested using nail polish to thin polish. Oh, all that poor polish that’s probably been ruined.

So, thank you to everyone who helped and/or commented I appreciate it all and apologize profusely for not returning to the threads promptly to conclude them.
