A couple of years ago I made a post mentioning that my brother was performing open-mic at Giggles here in Seattle. The video we were going to put up turned out to be poor, because you can barely hear him. But anyway…
I just wanted to brag that my learning disabled brother is now performing stand-up comedy at open-mics in Seattle several times a week. I don’t know how often he performs, but I think it’s at least three nights a week, and I think it might be as many as five. And he’s been performing at least twice a month for over a year now.
What I think is most incredible is that one of the most defining traits of Asperger’s, which he has, is an inability to understand the emotions of other people. If Asperger’s should rule anything out, it’s comedy, right? But he does great!
It just makes me so happy.
