Happy Thanksgiving? Well, not really. My mom, who gets sick every single time she eats, spent the better part of our visit to my family gathering curled up in a ball on the couch, biting back tears of pain. But the food was good. Tomorrow is the day we get a surgery date. I hope it’s soon, so she can at least enjoy Christmas dinner.
Well, my parents just got home for the meeting with Dr. Adams. The surgery has been set for December 8th, at 7:30am CST. Dr. Adams says that my mom’s pain may be so bad because her ulcer is trying to get into her pancreas. He doesn’t want to go through with the surgery because it’s basically a tummy tuck and my mom’s so skinny already. Pray, light candles, chant, throw pebbles, do whatever it is you do for luck, because I’m scared to death right now. And it can only get worse between now and the 8th. 
I am so sorry to hear about your mom silver hugs silver and family Hopefully shell be okay after the surgery. Im sure your mom knows what a great daughter she has for takin such good care of her

This is better than the uncertainty that you all felt before. It sounds like there is a good possibility that she will recover completely, which is much better than the first news.
