The law has to do with intent. You just have to convince a cop, a DA and I guess eventually a jury that your intent was to be an actor and you’re a free person.
gotcha.
I believe there have literally been dozens of threads on this board over the last 30 years asking that same question.
(My God, this board is almost 30 years old.)
Prostitution, as in charging someone to have sex with you, is legal in the UK. Pimping, soliciting and living off immoral earnings is illegal.
Naturally, there are grey areas. For example, if someone rents your house and uses it as a brothel, that could mean you were profiting from it. I think there would have to be proof that you were aware of it, though.
So, if you paid the other party $500 to have sex with you on film and then posted the video on only fans… I think there’s probably reasonable doubt there that your goal was to be a porn star, and not just have sex with that woman. If you make money from the video, i think you have a pretty good case.
Prepare a “model release form” to sign and record that you checked ID and that should mostly cover you.
FWIW, in thirty years of internet porn, from time to time I’ve stumbled across content that was labelled as “Sex with a fan”. I’m sure you can never trust such a label, but I also think in some cases, it might have been true. Some of it may have been OF content.
All they have to do is convince the DA. Good luck.
Do you really think the vice cops aren’t wise to this nonsense? This is not a clever or original idea. It didn’t work in the video tape days and it won’t now.
I’ve heard economists refer to these as “glamour careers”, where a few people at the top make huge sums of money while everyone else makes peanuts.
