I just got an SMS from ‘upocenter’ (sender:48800) with poll asking me what movie I’m going to see this weekend. I NEVER have signed up for anything like this, because SMS messages cost me.
A google search comes up with a few other people getting this bs, but no clarifications or solutions.
I suspect it might be related to this website:
http://www.upoc.com/
which have never seen before. Also, I’ve had this cell phone number for several years, so I doubt it was a previous owner of the number that signed up.
Anybody else get this? Was there a way to stop it?
I’m going to contact my provider, but I doubt this well be any more useful than contacting my email provider complaing about spam.
