I would like to think A but it will be interesting to find out. Not any time soon, I hope — but interesting.
B. I suspect that when you die, you’re gone, and all that left is a body slowly returning to the earth.
I’m okay with that.

All of the above. And it makes a lot more sense when you stop thinking of “yourself” strictly in 1st Person Singular mode.
All five of me disagrees with that.
The answer is eluded, as no one has ever come back to tell us what it is like on the other side.
And, of course the reason is…That it is so incredible, that the dead don’t want to tell us. They want to keep it all to themselves.
