Have any studies been conducted on urine therapy, or the health benefits of drinking urine? If not, does anyone here have first-hand experience with urine therapy?
(I beg readers who cannot answer the questions directly to refrain from stating opinions about urine therapy, as I am already aware that urine is commonly considered a “waste product” and that drinking it is “gross.” Some people seem to disagree with both of these lines of thought, which is why I’m asking about the existence of any scientific studies, or of firsthand experience that goes against mainstream thought. Sorry to state that upfront, but I have to take precautions when I ask this sort of question).
This link seems to be full of, almost overflowing with, resources.
I don’t think you’ll find any large-scale well-conducted clinical trials in peer-reviewed journals that deal with consuming one’s bodily wastes.
So if one wants to swill piss, one is left with testimonials from those who think that urine-drinking is the fountain of good health. Such can be found in various dank-smelling corners of the Internet, including here.

Two things came to mind when I first heard about “urine therapy”.

How can it be that the same crowd that’s obsessed with enemas, liver flushes and cleansing all sorts of imaginary toxins from their bodies, thinks it’s a good idea to deliberate ingest real toxins that their body has gone to considerable lengths (no pun intended) to eliminate?
