About a month ago, someone posted a link to a page that allows you to plug in your address and the address of a hypothetical nuclear target and then see how you’d fare during the blast and aftermath.

Seems that if the White House is the target of a 1 Megaton Surface Blast, there’s a 75% chance that I’ll remain unhurt by flying debris, but the radiation will kill me within a few hours. Curiosity satisfied!
What timing.
Had I seen this thread, I could have answered; within the past hour I dug out a Pit thread of mine (‘No rage of a million suns, only thermonuclear destruction’) dating back to March of this year where I jokingly talked about nuking my employer, downtown Minneapolis, and the French. I momentarily thought of resurrecting that thread with some words about how it just wasn’t funny any more, but I thought better to let it lie.
