US border city names

What other US border cities or towns are there that share the states names?

Texarkana
Kanorado
Texoma

There must be others. I’ve probably forgotten some obvious ones.

Mexicali is the obvious one. But there’s also a Florala, Alabama. Guess what state that’s near!

How is that pronounced? flor-AL-uh? (A as in cat)

Kansas City, Missouri comes to mind.

No idea. But probably as you guess.

Then there is Michigan City, Indiana and Michiana as well.

There’s also Texline, TX

Canada has Alsask, Saskatchewan.

Here’s a pretty good list:

Then there are regionalisms for border areas. Media in the Louisville, KY area often refer to “Kentuckiana” which I find somewhat nauseating, though not as bad as “Indyucky” would be.

In a slightly related matter, Lexington, KY used to have a decent Italian restaurant called “Lexitalia”, whose name unfortunately was reminiscent of certain anatomical details.

And Calexico on the California side.

At one time, there were railway stations at Canusa and Uscan.

Kansas Town, Missouri, was named before Kansas Territory was named. So, really, the State of Kansas and Kansas City, Kansas, are namesakes of Kansas City, Missouri. Missouri had the name first.

Texico, NM

Virgilina is a small Virginia town at the North Carolina border.

That list says Arkansas has six Crossroads and seven Cross Roads. Which must be convenient for people who want to sell the soul to the devil without having to wait in line.

Memphis, TN and West Memphis, AR.

Don’t think this is what the OP was asking for.

As long as the cities are identified as ‘city, state’ they all qualify.

By that logic, any city in the US qualifies.

OP was asking for border cities that have at least part of the states names in their name.
