A minor gripe us Brits have with the Gran Turismo series is that all speeds are in km/h and not mph, but I’ve just seen some screenshots of GT2 with mph on it.
So my question is, does the American version of GT2 have mph, and, if it does, where can I get a copy?

Yeah, the US version does have MPH.
Amazon.com still has it, but it says that "Toys, games, and video games can be shipped only to locations within the U.S., U.S. protectorates, and APO/FPO addresses. " I’ll see if I can find some place that ships to you a bit later, but I’m running out of time right now.
The big problem isn’t getting it though, it’s getting it to run on your system. All the ways that I know of that modify your system to let you play other region’s games also let you play pirated games, so I’m not allowed to talk about them here. You could buy a US Playstation, but then there’s the whole compatability issue. You’d have to hook it up to a TV that supports NTSC and a power outlet that supplies 120VAC.
I’ve got that bit covered, but I obviously can’t talk about how.
