USA Election Watch 2026

The Michigan Senate race is giving me heartburn.

Not yet, but at least Purple.

Whoa Texas! What a night!

Do you mean congrats for Illinois doing that the first time in state history? I’m pretty sure other states have done this like WA with Murray and Cantwell.

Now that was a surprise!

Hobbs-D handily ahead of Biggs for Arizona Governor, thank Og.

And Gosar-R the only R leading for the representatives.

No. CA had Boxer and Feinstein

It is possible I was misinformed. I have opened the really good stuff to celebrate and am not fact checking as scrupulously as usual.

Party on Garth!

Yep, MS NOW is reporting multiple sources confirm Abbott has called Hinojosa to concede!

Any word on TX Lt Gov Patrick’s race?

Oh yeah, I lived there at the time, duh. OK, first two non-white woman delegation!

Blue Texas!!! :blue_heart:

Arizona had Sinema and McSally as well.

Thank goodness for that. What a obsequious little creep.

There are 31 seats in the Texas Senate. Right now Democrats have won or are leading in 17.

Still way too early to call the House, but with 76 needed for a majority Democrats have won or are leading in 77.

Imagine a Democratic Texas legislature with a Democratic governor. They could rewrite every law.

They are also ahead in every other state race.

You’re forgetting (at least) CA and ME.

NBC has Goodwin (D) over Patrick (R) 55.3 to 42.4 with 57.1% reporting.

With 39% counted in Maine, Collins has a 1000 vote lead.

NBC’s House projection is now 252-183, which is solidly in “blue tsunami” territory.

Washington State has had 2 women senators for over 20 years. (Murray and Cantwell.)
