Well, the scoreline was closer than I expected, but Mexico dominated the whole game. Defense was absolutely in shambles; no cohesion. Dempsey is done. Hopefully Klinsmann too.
Bradley, Cameron, and Guzan played pretty well though.
The game winner was a beautiful strike. Mexico was the better team.
Klinsmann will only get fired if he fails to qualify for the World Cup. Unfortunately.
Can we lose the 30+ gang now?
Beasley, and Beckerman, sure. Jones, Guzan, and perhaps Dempsey will be needed for qualifying.
Bradley was fired for failing to win the Gold Cup and he never had a team get embarrassed like the team was this year. US Soccer needs someone with balls to run it. Sunil Gulati can GTFO too.
I should have exempted GKs. But the old-timers can hang on as bench players/occasional starters. but let’s not make them the core of the team. Even Jones.

Didn’t look good last night, though I’m not sure how much you can read into a semi-b team playing a friendly two days after a meaningful game.
And, I’m going to go way out on a limb here, but I’m betting that the referee’s first language is Espanol, and he doesn’t referee in a U.S. league… not sure if he was trying to get brownie points with a central American league by sticking it to the Yanquis, or proving that he’s got the combination of inconsistency and one-sidedness to fit with Sepp Blatter’s FIFA.
I mean, he’d have to work a lot harder to be peak FIFA – you probably can’t say that his calls made the difference in the match – but after all it was just a friendly; he can still step it up for the World Cup.
I think the USA will qualify, you don’t need to be able to beat Costa Rica and Mexico consistently to get to the WC from CONCACAF.
