User interfaces. Argh! I hate writing user interfaces.

Not quite pit worthy. Follow developers commiserate please. Bloody GUIs. I have in front of me a form with about thirty five entry fields (some overlaid on others) over a dozen checkboxes, a couple of radio groups, ten list items, and a bunch of look-up buttons. Oh, and the whole thing is in a scrollable window. Thank the fsm it doesn’t have any tabs.

In the old days of 80*25 dumb terminal character based keyboard driven input you could control what the user could do. Now the user can click randomly around the screen making validation of data a real pain.

Bring back the VT220.

Gotta go, an old payroll program needs investigation. Even that’s more fun than this bloody form.
