This is utterly mundane and pointless, but I’ve decided to change my username. I was **wínterhawk11 **(nonstandard “i” intentional), but ever since the boards became searchable by anybody who could manage a Google search, I’ve felt a little weird about having that identity attached to posts that might contain information I’d rather not have the internet at large being able to search up on me. Not that I’m exactly the most “share intimate and icky personal details on a message board” kind of person, but still…
That, and the name was chosen based on something that was much more central to my life 10 years ago than it is now. I’ve learned my lesson, which is why my new username isn’t my WoW character.
So now I’m Infovore. Which is kind of what I am anyway.
ETA: Hmm. I put it in a signature, but it’s not showing up. Odd.
Apparently I am either an idiot or completely unobservant (or both!) but I’ve been through every option on the User CP and I don’t see it. I found the place where you actually make a signature, but the only “show signatures” option I see is selected already. I’m sure I will feel very sheepish when someone points out to me where I went wrong, but…I’ll risk it.
