Uses for data cartridge cases

I’ve got about 2-300 of these little plastic buggers that we have no use for and are sitting in several drawers (as in file cabinet drawers, not undergarments).

They are data tape cases measuring 4.5"x4.25"x1", also known as clamshell cases.
I know there has good to be a good use for them but can’t seem to find it.

They’re really not designed well enough t hold itsy-bitsy rolly-poly parts (sorry to get all technical on you) like screws, nuts etc and they are a little too small to fit my PB&J for lunch.

Any other ideas? I mean useful ones of course. I’ve got all the useless ones covered.

Geek dominos?

Wow.

When I first read that, I thought it said Greek. I was trying to figure out how that connotation would work for dominoes.

I used to use a handful of these cases to store my Yugioh cards (did I just admit to having a Yugioh card collection?) My side deck was in one, my fusion monsters and their material in another, different sets of combinations in another, etc.

Other ideas…

  • use them to organize nuts and bolts.
  • pack tiny lunches when you’re on a diet.
  • use them to store even smaller boxes
