Using an old Tablet as a picture viewer?

What I’d like to do is turn an old tablet into a photo viewer for my Dad to use.
The catch is…I would like to be able to edit what he can see remotely. I would like to add photos as needed without going to his home to do it.
I’m thinking of syncing maybe an online Google photo album, giving him access to it, then opening an app on the tablet that will display the contents of that album with all of my future edits included.

Does anyone know it this is possible?

The tablet would be strictly used for the app installed to view the online folder, nothing else. So, basically, it would always be plugged in and turned on to allow the images to be continuously displayed.

How about this?

If not there are many “picture frame apps” that might do.

That would work great if I had an IPAD, which I don’t. This will be an android device.
Thanks for looking tho.

A lot of iPad apps have equivalents in the Android Play Store, often by the same name.

Unfortunately the link in the second post refers to in-bedded features in IOS.

I finally found something called Fotoo that sounds promising. I shall give it a try and report back.
