This is so frustrating. I’m trying to sort something on craigslist so I can buy some food. Oh yeah. I’m using a Kyocera S1310 Domino. So I get all through the description and stuff and get to the secret words and copy paste part. When I highlight the text I have clipboard listed under options. When I click that the left function button changes to Mark, click that and it changes to something else, you have to click that to continue. When I in to the window and click clipboard it says empty. Any help?
The term “Mark” & the need for a second click make me supect the following. I don’t have your phone so I can’t say for sure. But try this idea:
The way to use their copy funtion is NOT to select the text you’re interested in and hit “copy” like you’re used to on a PC or Mac.
Instead, put the cursor at the start of the desired text & hit clipboard/mark. Then move the cursor to the end of the desired text and hit clipboard/whatever the other word is. That will put the text between those points in the clipboard to be pasted elsewhere.
OK, mystery solved. Thanks LSLGuy for leading me in the right direction. I thought I’d update this in case this somehow ever comes up again.
Place cursor at beginning or end. Select options, then -clipboard-. Select -cut text-, then press -mark- (left function key) and highlight text to copy. Press -cut- (left function key again). Then go where you’re going, select -options- then -paste text-. And that’s it.
