Using this #%&*! search function

OK, I want to keep this out of the Pit and remain civil even though I have been busting my hump for an HOUR trying to find the past thread relating to this newly-emerged thread. I have tried every single Forum going back two years knowing that (1) this thread did exist, (2) it was covered in a past Cecil column–though this thread was not necessarily a response to it, and (3) I posted in this past thread.

No luck. I’d like to say I give up, but will probably continue to try. However, this is just one example of why I really don’t like the revised search function–I know and understand the reasons behind the change, but what should/would have taken me 10 minutes max has instead taken much longer (with still nothing to show for it).

Anyone willing to give this a try–maybe I’m just missing something. :frowning:

A few posibilies.

Things in movies that really bug you…
Weird and subtle movie references
Movies with stupidly large plotholes
Stupid stupid stuff in an otherwise OK movie

So, am I close?

Close? Maybe. No cigar? Definitely.

Thanks for playing though. :frowning:

How about: Movie gaffes?

Are you sure you posted to it? I sometimes mix up threads in my mind that I posted to or just followed.

Jeff B, thanks but that wasn’t it either. I remember specifically because several people were incredulous about the answer that several of us (including Cecil) gave, and since my profession is geared toward that, I tend to answer my share of technical film questions. Also, since I don’t post on any other boards resembling this, I’m sure I wasn’t confusing it with somewhere else.

Still, I can’t explain what the problem is. :frowning:
