They were convicted of a misdemeanor. The court never had much of a case. A couple of people who took it upon themselves to deal with a dangerous situation versus a park system that plowed God’s own half acre into a parking lot. It would have been a circus of a trial and they knew it.
Funny you should ask this because LA did exactly that. They cut down 400 trees to make way for the Space shuttle. They could have flown it directly to the National Air force Museum where it literally could have taxied into a waiting hanger but that did not happen. Instead they gave that museum a simulator that could have been trucked into LA without a single leaf disturbed. what would constitute a massive crime against nature is completely overlooked if there is a government seal on it.

You know, i don’t think that what they did was the greatest travesty known to man, but your suggestion that they were dealing with a “dangerous situation” is one of the most hilarious things i’ve ever read. Is your picture in the dictionary under H for “hyperbole”?
What do you mean, you don’t think it was a dangerous situation? Did you see the video? They can clearly be heard to say “it’s comin’ right for us!”
