Draax and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this year, and we’d like to celebrate with a vacation of some sort. Like most people we are feeling the effects of the economic crunch, so we are looking for a few days away from home at someplace affordable. Hubby isn’t so into “touristy” stuff, we both enjoy nightlife, and I would like to be somewhere near enough activities to keep me entertained (I’m not really a lounge-all-day-by-the-pool type). What do my fellow Dopers suggest?

Since you didn’t say, I’ll assume you are in Prague like me, so how about a few days out at a spa in Karlovy Vary? Not in Prague, dunno. 
Australia’s a bit hot (and in the north, wet) at the moment, unless you want to go to Tasmania in which case it’s lovely.
Assuming you live in Hawaii, I’m a bit surprised at the question. Don’t you know that you already live in a great vacation destination? Many people pay big bucks to vacation where you live!

Heh, sorry, I forgot that my location isn’t shown. I’m in Birmingham, AL. We can’t afford to fly overseas, but a cruise or a Carribean destination might be doable for us.
