Vacations!!

I get two weeks shutdown this summer at my job, and I really want to take a vacation somewhere. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of moola. (I might even have to get a job for the two weeks that I won’t be working) Does anyone have any suggestions of cool places in the great 48 where I could veg out for a few weeks? I probably will go alone, and camp out to save money. I like nature and outdoors stuff, but I like the big city too.
Where would you go if you were me?
Btw, I live in Wisconsin.

Go to Las Vegas for a week on a cheap Southwest Airlines roundtrip flight. Then stay at Circus Circus hotel where it’s only $30 a night on weekdays. There is plenty of cheap entertainment. The circus acts are performed for free. The buffets are $6 and there are very cheap slots. Not only are the slots cheap, but the craps and roulette table limits are cheap also – $1 minimum. As opposed to other casinos like New York New York and Bellagio where the minimum is $5. You might even come back richer that you when you came.

Road trip to southwest Colorado! There’s so much cool nature here, you’ll just shit. But if you want to save $, definitely plan to camp and cook out. And buy your food in the big City Market (Grand Junction or Montrose), not up in the mountains.

I find lodging and meals are the better part of the cost of travel so I recommend going where ever you can stay for free (friends, family, dopers…) That’s how I select my destinations

Ever been to Isle Royale, Tracy? I’ve been wanting to get up there for years but have never found the time to do it. If you camp out rather than stay at the lodge I would think it wouldn’t be too expensive.
