Vacuum cleaner smoking

Hey ya all

I was wondering: Would it be possible to make a vacuum cleaner suck the smoke of a few cigarettes to keep this smoke at the bag and then revert it right back to your lungs?

No, the smoke will pass through the bag and into the room.

Is this because you just don’t have time to smoke them all yourself? So have the vacuum do it, save the smoke for you later?

Winner idea!!! :dubious:

No, you can’t use a vacuum cleaner as a bong.

What you’re asking for is one of these : http://volcanovaporizer.com/

No vacuum pump is involved, but this device traps all the vapor - similar to smoke, but with less combustion products - inside the bag. You then inhale from the bag.

I don’t know if this makes tobacco products any safer, probably somewhat. I think the “e-cigarettes”, where you are inhaling a mist that contains fairly pure nicotine, is probably significantly safer.

What would be even safer than that is if you were to move to colorado or washington and transfer your addiction to edible marijuana products only.

Awww…

Be careful, doing that could cause lung cancer, heart disease, or emphysema, and might complicate pregnancy.

Are you trying to use the vacuum cleaner as a secondary filter and then breathe in what comes out of the exhaust of the vacuum? I don’t understand what you are trying to do.

I think that if you can’t filter out all of the sticky nicotine-y gunk that comes from smoking cigarettes inside you house with a really bitchin’ air filter for your AC system, I don’t think a vacuum cleaner bag is going to do it, either. I think the bag is trying to keep out dirt from the exhaust of the machine, not smoke particles which are way smaller I am assuming.

I’m not aware that vacuum cleaners are typically susceptible to those particular diseases, although they may sometimes come down with a case of electrical short circuits, burnt-out bearings, and the like. Smoking is a common symptom of those disorders.

…and to think I came in here ready to say “Check the belt!” and “Make sure you don’t have something stuck in the rollers causing it to smoke!”. What was I thinking? Silly me.

Given the fact that I am a guy… I guess I really shouldn’t worry about the last problem.

And I don’t want to filter the nicotine (ot THC…). The idea would be to store a few cigarette’s worth of smoke somewhere (say, a plastic bag) to breathe it all at once.

I see you’ve never lived with a pregnant woman, then.

Have you considered a plastic bag? :dubious:

If the bag is full of cat hair and old toe nail clippings, I think that would make a very efficient filter to remove tar and carcinogens.

So you can get your nic fix later at a place in which you can’t smoke? I can’t think of any other reason you’d want to do this. I would think the active ingredients of the smoke would deposit themselves as resin on the walls of the bag if you let it sit long enough, as in a vaporizer.
