Almost true- *many *of us find it annoying. Otherwise, your name wouldn’t be coming up so often in threads like these, now would it?
And those reasons are? I mean, I’d really like to see a reason for you to attach it as part of your message, rather than as part of the signature, other than it makes it impossible for those of us whom you annoy to turn it off. You’ve been asked, repeatedly, to use the standard method of signatures. For a while there, you did so- and I would’ve been perfectly happy to shut the hell up about this subject. But that didn’t last too long- I guess you didn’t get enough attention, acting like normal folk.
We’re not the ones being petty, here.
Why certainly. Let’s see a five-page thread devoted to my apostrophe, wherein multiple people express their irritation over it, and let’s see that thread repeat itself several times a year. I’d be glad to change it, 'cause I’m not a dick.
Please let us not forget that Shodan has stated explicitly that he sometimes uses his sig to denote the message “Fuck You.” I don’t see how that isn’t being a dick.
I’d like him to deny making this statement before I go and track it down. Not worth my time if all I get is “I never denied I wrote that I use my sig to mean 'Fuck you.”."
Well, that doesn’t really prove much to me, anyway. Most of us who ocassionally get embroiled in heated debates outside the Pit where “fuck you” isn’t allowed will often employ some form of sarcasm to denote, in essence, “fuck you.” Some of us do it in sigs, some of us do it in the post body. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.
Thanks. It might have been more effective after he made an indignant denial, but I think he’s made enough of a fool out of himself in denying it even as half-heartedly as he had here. At least, it’s a dick move not to have admitted it when I raised the subject and then to have defended asserting it.
I don’t see how someone gets to admit using his sig lline to mean “Fuck You” sometimes and then to be permitted to use it.
