After he serves time in Peru, might he then be extradited to Aruba or the US for trial in the Holloway case?
What trial? They didn’t have enough evidence to make a charge, right?
The US has an arrest warrant for an attempted extortion of Holloway’s mother. No matter what Peru may have on van der Sloot, the US already has legal dibs on him if he is ever released from Peruvian custody.
If he confesses to Holloway’s murder (or makes an irreversible confession), wouldn’t Aruba have first dibs on him before the U.S. when and if he’s released by Peru?
No chance at all for house arrest. At most, if/when he gets paroled he might he house arrest then. He may get something like segregation from general population for a while. However, like in all prisons, a guy with money can find himself well protected.
I think it would be pretty much up to Peru where they send him to, since they’re the ones holding him. However, I don’t think he’ll be leaving Peru for a long time.
Or maybe you can quit with the guessing games and provide a cite.
