Van Morrison, His Band, and the Street Choir (album title)

In most places, I see the title of Van Morrison’s 1970 album listed as His Band and the Street Choir, but looking at the cover myself, it seems to me that the title is actually Van Morrison, His Band, and the Street Choir, which actually makes more sense. Otherwise the his seems oddly placed.

Anyone with me on this one?

By the way, it’s one of my favourite albums.

I’m very fond of it too, but the original CD mix was surprisingly crappy. In particular I’m thinking of the muted sounding horns on “Call Me Up in Dreamland.”

ETA: That is to say, compared to the vinyl version.

ETAAT: Or maybe I just got a shitty copy, but I remember being profoundly unimpressed compared to my album. Might have kept me off adopting CDs for another year or two all by its lonesome.

You’ve got a point, logically. I no longer have my vinyl copy, but it seems to me that there may have been a bullet or an extra space between the artist name and “His” on the spine, implying that “Van Morrison” is not part of the title. I could well be wrong.

“Blue Money” is one of my favorite Van the Man songs. “Domino” and “I’ve Been Working” are pretty great, too.
