This is kind of a silly question but I cannot find an answer. Background - we bought a 2016 Ram Promaster 1500 last month. The only ones they had on the lot have what they call a dual passenger seat, kind of a bench seat in two pieces. I want a single passenger seat because I want to be able to get out of the drivers seat and walk into the rear without having to go outside.

Question - where do I get the single seat? I can’t get it on Google because all of the hits are trying to sell me a whole van. I tried Craigslist - no response. I tried a Promaster forum - no response. I wanted to swap my dual for a single, but now I’m getting to the point that I’ll buy a single! Anyone know where I can get one?

Did you talk to the parts department at your dealer?

There isn’t a parts department as we bought it from a dealer in commercial vehicles. I guess I could try a “regular” dealer?

Any Mopar dealer should be able to look it up for you. Here is proof they exist, but beware that these may not be the ones you need. There are a lot of Promaster variants.

Boggle. Three thousand dollars??? Thanks for letting me know they exist but I think I’ll have to see if I can do a trade instead of buying new.

Maybe you want to find someone who got the single seat and wants to have the full bench ?

But since its so new… perhaps you can convince a dealer to swap ?
They the larger seat, a higher value item, and you get what you want.

Either swap the seat… or the entire vehicle…

Huh. I’ll have to see if a local dealer might be interested in the swap.
