A couple of days ago, I managed to confirm via email with Sinshine that we know the same person: Mark Hainsworth. Last night, I got together with a bunch of people at someone’s house, and told Mark this whole freaky story of how Sinshine and I met, and how we figured we both knew him. (plus Barbarian’s part in the whole thing) He thought it was so bizarre that he told the entire room about it, then added:
(note: he knows me from one church, Sinshine from the other church he goes to when they have two services instead of just one during the summer, and Derek from the Bach Choir)
You may or may not remember the girl and guy I met at the seawall; the guy on his cell phone and the girl who said hi to me. Those were my friends Irene and Joe; Joe happened to be there last night, and upon hearing the story, said:
Yes, I was with “those people,” and as has been stated before, thought pretty much the same thing as he did. Everyone thought the story was amazing, and very bizarre. Heck, I still do! 
Then everyone asked about the message board, and what we talked about on here. I explained a little about it, and sent them links later when I got home. Maybe they’ll look at the thread, because everyone thought the story was certainly the most bizarre thing they’d ever heard!
Barbarian, I did not know that Derek was heading off for theology school. Then again, I don’t know him that well to start with. When does he leave, and where is he going? Do you know?
P.S. You should have heard both Mark and Derek sing some Mandarin song at the karaoke night… it was quite entertaining. We made them sing it five times during the course of the night because people kept coming late, and as soon as they heard that Mark could sing Mandarin… well, they wanted to hear it for themselves.
