Vendor took money but is not delivering product. Options?

I bought a Garmin map for online download back on November 25, but it won’t download. Have been back and forth with tech support to no avail. How can I get my money back? Their latest email said:

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I ams orry for the
issues. Since the last communication we discovered an issue with this
download. We are trying to resolve this as we speak and are hopeful to
have it ready for this week. We apologize for the issues. At this time
we are not issuing refunds for these products.

I assume I would prevail in court but it is not worth the effort. Maybe my bank can get it back? Anything else? Payment was by VISA debit card and cleared my checking account back on November 27.

Thanks!

Call up the provider of your VISA debit card and see if they can issue a chargeback. Since it has a VISA logo they *probably *can… but call to be sure.

If Visa can’t help you, send a short, clear letter/email to your Attorney General’s office.

In my state, the very first thing the Attorney General does is mail a form letter letting you know they are looking at your case. And they send a copy of that letter to the company you’re having trouble with. Sometimes just that gets the company to fix the problem.

If that doesn’t do it, a lot will depend on how on the ball your AG’s office is. Many of them are great, and really work to get problems resolved.
