Venti Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks

Crack in a cup. Discuss.

That’s not crack…

Crack is the creap stuff you buy on the way to work by scrounging up some lose change wherever you can find it…

You are on the cocaine of coffee… More expensive and doesn’t F you up as much…

welby- You forgot “tasty” in your description.

Personally I think CM’s are divine, but then again, I’m *hoplessly addicted to caffiene, so take what I say with a squeeze of caramel.

Merge, when I’m making excuses to run over to a specific store, which happens to be located directly next to the Starbucks, I think we can safely assume that the CM is crack in a cup. I mean, come on, I went to the store for trash bag ties for goodness sake!

I lean more towards the grande skim CM myself. Mmmm tasty, unless they skimp on the caramel.

Oh my god, definetly cocaine in a cup. And not the cheap men’s room shit, either. This is the good stuff, that rockstars and the pope buys.

Have you tried their new Toffee Nut Latte? Holy crap, is it tasty.

I’m a little hesitant to try the Toffe Nut Latte. After all, what if I become addicted to that as well? I don’t have the financial backing to become a full time addict.

Come on, just try it. Tell you what, first one’s free.

Do what most addicts do when the habit becomes too expensive…

Deal.

Take on a part time job as a barista.

You’d be surprised how many professionals take part time jobs a couple of nights a week to support their habits.

Oh, yeah, that one’s definitely crack in a cup. There’s a crackhouse, oops, I mean Starbuck’s, a couple blocks from my house, right in the shopping center where I grocery shop. My hands start shaking as soon as I pull in the parking lot.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm…toffee nut latte…mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I noticed a little sign for this the other day and asked the Starbucks employee if it was good. He said if I like caramel and I like hazelnut, I’d love the toffee nut. Well, I love both caramel and hazelnut, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

Now I’m hooked, and the nearest Starbucks is a 20 minute drive away :(:(:(:(:frowning:

Pity me, for I have never…tried…Starbucks.

I’ve never been a really big coffee drinker, in fact, I don’t think I’ve had any since a brief taste at 14 and I have little tolerance for coffee/mocha flavored food items. I’m a sucker for sweet, creamy drinks like hot cocoa though. And caramel and whipped cream. They’re good too. This thread is making me wonder if I should hop on down to a Starbucks sometime soon.

DON’T DO IT Vixenation! Stay away, save your wallet, nerves and teeth!

Alas, it is too late for me. For I am already addicted.

Though if you don’t like coffee flavor, you may be safe. My sister doesn’t like mocha either, and she didn’t think much of the one sip of CM she tried.

It’s probably for the best, as I’m trying to cut back on sugar intake as it is. The last and only time I was at a Starbucks (Baltimore, in the Barnes and Noble off of Pratt St.), they were located on the same street as a Cheesecake Factory, and as such had a delicious selection of cheesecakes prominently on display next to the coffees and pastries. Even more sugary goodness, just out of my grasp. sigh Damned depressing coffee houses.

I’m sorry, but that sentence doesn’t make sense.

You people are sissies. The best thing at Starbucks is their drip coffee. None of this mocha-macchiato-flippity-flappity-frappy crap. That’s coffee for beginners.

Real addicts drink the scalding hot stuff right out of the spigot behind the cashier. We don’t want room for cream; we don’t want caramel or vanilla or mint or chocolate or syrup or whipped cream or ice or chai.

We want the real stuff, straight from the source, no backup. If they sold it in IV form, so much the better.

Til then, I’m just gonna have to drink it straight up.

I tried my first Frappuccino the other day (if I spelt that wrong, may the gods of coffee forgive me). And now I’m addicted. I can admit it. And I would deal in my drug of choice, but you gotta be eighteen to be a barista, therefore I’m screwed.

Hey - how much does one of them caramel things cost?

How does it not? The Starbucks that is closest to my house takes about 20 minutes to get to when I drive there.

Am I being whooshed somehow?

How did I miss this thread the first time around? I’m slowing down in my old age!

Y’all should try a caramel macchiato made with hazelnut instead of vanilla sometime. Mmm yummy. Hmm, mebbe I’ll go get one of them myself …

Also, the new malt Frappuccinos are pretty good. Every season they aim more and more toward the “I want a milk shake but they’re not cool so I’m getting a milkshake with coffee” crowd.
