In 1954, Eisenhower signed a bill making Veteran’s day, originally Armistice Day, a national holiday. One of the originators of that bill was a Congressman from Emporia, KS. What was his name? I can’t seem to find this answer anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
This is a WAG, but Bob Dole was a Kansas congressman around then.
I found Rep. Edwin K. Rees here
Klaatu, thanks!
You’d be amazed the number of search engines I ran through trying to get that (semi) trivial piece of information. I owe you one!
