Viacom should make their own streaming service. They might not own quite as much stuff as Disney, but they still have a huge library.
What’s in their library and how much of it is already contracted out? I suspect a lot of their more valuable properties are currently contracted out to the other Streaming Services.
Disney has a lot of timeless stuff and a huge chunk of the most popular movies of the last decade.
Viacom owns Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, and will soon merge with CBS.
They just entered a multi-year deal for Nick with Netflix. Comedy Central has South Park and that is about it, The Daily Show has been streaming for over decade. MTV stuff has a fairly short shelf life. I might enjoy some of those old cartoon series from the late 80s/early 90s.
CBS is already streaming, so there you go, they can add more Viacom stuff to CBS’s streaming. CBS All-Access.
