Vick interview on 60 minutes

I just watched it and for some reason I did not feel convinced. Is it just me? He gave mostly the right answers but I did not feel the sincerity. I said in another thread he will be back dog fighting if he retires or loses his career .
I still think so.

If I were a betting man, I would lay down serious $$$ that Vick will be back to his old tricks (caught up with some combo of drugs/gambling/random sexcapade—not necc. dogfighting) within a year or two…

He is clearly parroting what he has been coached to say (“I drifted away from my Lord and Savior”) but dosent seem to feel any true remorse that I could see.

Any remorse he showed was “fake” IMO.

I think he got mad he got caught IMO too.

I couldn’t care less if he’s remorseful or not. He served his time.

I couldn’t agree more. If you don’t like the system, fix the system. He’s served his time, there’s no need to keep punishing him. FTR, I live in (a suburb of) Atlanta. I don’t personally care for him, and I never have; so this isn’t just ‘Vick love’.

I think it’s silly that he’s had to apologize so many times. “Ok, I heard him apologize for the fiftieth time; NOW I believe him!”

Who says we should continue punishing him? I am sure he is on probation and has to serve as Humane Society spokesman for a period of time. So he is still being punished.
The point of course was I just found his contrition unconvincing. That is all.

I don’t see much contrition either, but Dungy seems to be buying what he’s selling and he’s supposed to be a pretty good judge of character.

It’s been addressed previously. A lot of us HAVE been working to fix the system, but it’s very entrenched and takes a lot of time and effort.

Of course, he hasn’t had to apologize so many times. He’s chosen to apologize so many times as a deliberate strategy, because he thinks it will manipulate our sympathy. Apparently it works on some people.

We all use body language without really being aware of it. I just reacted to it like he was lying. That was a strong feeling i got.

I dont really care about his level of remorse either.

I agree that hehad served his time and should be allowed to move on.

I still will bet he gets himself back into legal trouble (of one sort or another) before too long.
