“The winnings of your enterprise that aren’t yours, no way, no how, sir…”
Right.
His property, his dogs, his money, his website, and he was just some poor sucker who got “involved” with the wrong people. None of this shit would ever have happened if it had not been for Vick.
Hey, I’ve been fighting Siamese my whole life and while sure, I’ve fought Gamecocks once or twice (who hasn’t?) I ain’t never even done mammals.
Seriously, Vick is a bastard, and while I’m sorry we won’t get to see him play (because he was a great athlete), I am actually reassured to find the public respond so overwhelmingly against this crummy, inhumane treatment of animals.
Why would he be involved at all if he wasn’t gaining something from it? Maybe he didn’t win anything from the purses, but I’ll bet he took in a shitload of money from the “door.”
I truly don’t think he personally got anything at all out of it. My understanding is that he was trying to set up his leeches to be able to sustain themselves instead of living directly off his money. So he absorbed the losses while letting them pocket the winnings, giving them the illusion of having lives.
There are no 12 step programs for this… that I’m aware of.
So let me get this straight - Jamie Foxx is asserting that all black people are poor, ignorant, and too stupid to understand what cruelty to animals is.
Who needs the Klan when we have Uncle Toms like him.
Vick is even more scum that I thought before. He’s found Jesus
The Falcons have declined to cut Vick. Which suggests to me they want to bring him back after he has served his time. Or possibly trade his rights for whatever they can get. (But I strongly suspect the former is the case.)
There are onerous salary-cap implications to cutting him now. The Falcons will sue (and likely win, IMHO) for $22 million in prorated signing bonus money from Vick. Then he gets his official walking papers.
Pretty much the complete opposite. They haven’t cut him so they can recoup the most amount of money back from his signing bonus and have the most favorable impact to future salary caps.
Ah. I see.
Oh, yeh, that got a fall-off-your-chair sarcastic guffaw when I read that.
And of course he was met by cheering supporters as he entered the courthouse.
I watched his statements to the media. It was full of the regular celebrity crap: “I’m immature” “we all make mistakes”, “I used bad judgement”, and the aforementioned “I found Jesus.”
Add in more crap about feeling bad about letting down the kids and I’m now more than happy to see him rot in prison for a year.
