As I mentioned in this thread, we’re doing a Pacific Northwest tour this May, and we’ll (appropriately) be in Victoria for Victoria Day (May 21). Anyone interested in getting together for a Vancouver/Victoria/Southern BC Dopefest that day? (I know you had already expressed interest, Quiddity).

Besides, my husband will likely be working all weekend, leaving me at loose ends with time for mischief.

I have lived in Calgary for 17 years, and always meant to get out to Vancouver/Victoria, and somehow it has never happened until now. I have no idea what is out there to do and see. If someone wants to suggest a restaurant/pub/patio, that would be supercool.

The Titanic exhibit is on at the Royal British Columbia Museum
Also, all weekend bands that are in town for the parade will be playing on the grounds at the Legislature
As for patios, people rave about Canoe Brewpub and there’s several spots in Bastion Square or there’s Swans
I’ll certainly leave the choice up to Featherlou, but I’m personally quite fond of Swans. Plus if we meet up on Victoria Day itself, there’s a really good band that plays there Monday nights and I go dancing there with all my friends, so it’s free entertainment.
If I can swing it, I’ll zip over to Victoria May 21.
I might have to work that day though.

It can actually be pretty loud when there’s a band. I had another thought - place is very popular, food’s not bad, two big patios, and it’s big enough that you can sit where you can talk even if there’s a band playing - the Swiftsure Restaurant and Lounge.
That looks lovely. So, Swiftsure Restaurant and Lounge, say 6:00 pm, Monday, May 21? We’ll be the touristy-looking people.
