Video files on a Samsung Galaxy III

I don’t get it. From a Windows explorer window, I can see the phone, then choose Card or Phone. Exploring in each I can find the Camera/DCMI folder, but it only has pictures. I’ve tried searching with Windows to no avail–I just can’t seem to find video files. This is on several machines. Can anyone point me to the obvious?

I have a Droid OS tablet and I can’t browse to find them either, they’re put into weird formats or something. I was able to import them onto my PC though after plugging the device into a USB, your phone may do the same thing.

Hmm, the video files should be in mp4 format in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera. They should be called VID_(date)_(time).mp4. That’s where they’ve been on all the Android devices I’ve had over the years, with slight name changes, but your carrier may have changed something and may be making them go somewhere else.

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII on Verizon, and I can navigate to Card/DCIM/Camera and see my mp4 video files.

Are they video files that you took with your phone (which should be stored in the DCIM folder), or video files which you downloaded (such as youtube files, which may be stored in a different folder) or video files that you imported via USB (which should be where you imported them to)?
