I’ve recently watched the movie Pixels and it just gave more flame to my burning dreams; to build a video-game inspired theme park. I don’t really have the resources these days but in later years, I might actually start it…so any suggestions on attractions and rides?? For example, I want this attraction that’s closer to first person shooters like Halo. more on Paintballs though. To avoid fatalities. LOL or a roller coaster ride with Slenderman theme. That would be pretty fun right? Any more suggestions? Would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Lo and behold some of your dreams shall come true. Nintendo and Universal Theme Parks are working to make some Nintendo themed attractions at their parks.
That will be super slow going though since, as of right now, Universal doesn’t know what to kill in order to actually have room for the rides/attractions.
I can’t speak for California, but here in Orlando the popular money is in Islands of Adventure, specifically on the Marvel section since Disney owns it and it’s a huge piece of the park, but that’s also a huge cash cow on them.
Smart money is to kill the “toon land” portion that’s a link between Marvel and Jurassic Park, but it’s a super small section with no room for attractions (it’s mostly shops and funny stuff).
Closest I could think of is if they killed both Toon and Dr. Seuss land and converted the whole thing to Nintendo and have that as a giant set piece
Last couple times I’ve been there have been survey people wandering around asking questions, and I really want to be asked because I think they are asking about Nintendo…we’ll have to see
Paintball is nothing like a FPS because one hit and you’re out.
There are newer types of laser tag out there that run exactly like them, though, complete with health bars, respawning, long-distance accuracy, multiple weapon types, objective-based gameplay, and other bells and whistles.
Leave your kids at the Desert Bus ride and go have fun in the rest of the park!
