No, FTL is not appropriate for more than one four-year-old in a million, if that. If for no other reason, FTL is almost entirley a text-based game, and the level of reading required to play the game is beyond virtually every four-year-old out there. I’d be pretty surprised if many four-year-olds can appreciate Minecraft either, except as played on an adult’s lap.
You obviously have much experience, tell us more about which outdoor games are best for your children.
This is the very definition of threadshitting. Do not do this again, Bosda.
Do you have Windows 7 or Vista? If so, you have a kids game built in that would work. Just look for Purble Place in the Start Menu. It’s got a matching game, a Mastermind type game with cute characters, and one of those restaurant games using cake.
You can get it working on Windows XP or 8, but it takes more work. (And you only get the beta version on Windows XP.)
I have a 4 year old. He’s done really well with Minecraft. He’s learning a lot about which materials are best for building what and becoming pretty creative designing buildings and such. It’s best on peaceful mode.
He’s very good at Minion Rush, Temple Run. He’s done Angry Birds, Cut The Rope and got bored soon.
Where’s My Water, Where’s My Mickey and Toy Story Smash It are on my smart phone and tend to keep him busy if we are out in public and I need keep him calm
