I LOLed too.
Then a few minutes ago I saw a video of what happened later. The fucking asshole cops forcefully removed a woman’s tent costume and left her on the grass in public in her bra and panties.
What the hell justification did they have for this? I don’t know anything about the law or the legal system in Australia but I hope she sues every last one of them and that they all lose their jobs and maybe even spend some time in jail. Maybe the female cops who stripped her should be stripped in that field themselves.
This was a funny stunt. Even if you think it was a stupid stunt; even if you’re against everything OWS stands for (whatever that is) there is no way this was justified. If you want to arrest the woman for interfering with the police or something, fine, let the courts sort it out. But there’s no fucking justification for this.
I’m not in any way a police hater. I’ve never had trouble from police and I’ve always respected them and understood how difficult their jobs are but lately it’s getting difficult. Pepper spray, possible brain damage from projectiles fired into peaceful crowds (yes, I know they wouldn’t disperse, so what?), and now this shit…
Not to mention feeling people up in airports…

I know. The poor woman tried to maintain her sense of humor even through this, but you can tell how upset she was.
What do they think they’re achieving? Are they really this stupid? Don’t they realize that they’re just antagonizing people? Do they really think people will back down? Do they really think people will put up with this shit?
