To explain: Phil LaMarr played Marvin in* Pulp Fiction*, and is also the voice of Hermes in Futurama.
Marvin should have used limbo to avoid the bullet.

He is the go-to voice actor for TV and video games in the last few years if the character is black. An exception is Vamp in the Metal Gear Solids.

Seems a little pointless to cast voice actors by race. The guy who voices Cleveland Brown (Family Guy, The Cleveland Show) looks like this.
Yup. And here’s the actor who played the Joker in the animated series The Batman, Kevin Michael Richardson.
Silly, yes. But it’s become more common than not to have the voice actor be the same race as the character.

It can be annoying sometimes, though.
Ray Wise, who (wonderfully, I might add) played the Devil on the late lamented Reaper, appeared as a corrupt senator on The Good Guys a couple weeks ago. His character was getting roughed up by some thugs, and I couldn’t help thinking, “Boy are they going to regret that!” I had to remind myself that the character was just a regular mortal guy.
