Jay Silverheels played Charlie Redcloud on the episode of Wanted Dead or Alive I watched tonight.
Look him up on IMDB. His resume both before and after The Lone Ranger was pretty impressive. Lots of TV and Movie roles.
All I knew of was Key Largo.
Thanks, TreacherousCretin.
Somewhat relevant: I just discovered that Phil LaMarr, the voice of Hermes on Futurama, is also the voice of Samurai Jack.
I like listening for famous (but uncredited) voices in commercials. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard Al Bundy doing cell phone commercials and Donald Sutherland doing orange juice. I wish there were an IMDb for TV commercials!
There is, sort of. This site has many, but by no means all, commercials. You can watch commercials and for many, the cast is listed (along with other stuff, like the name of the song or the advertising agency behind it).
Also, if you find a commercial on YouTube, sometimes the comments will mention the voiceover performer.
The goddess Azura from Skyrim, and Magnolia of the third rail in Fallout 4 were both voiced by Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
I listen to the OTR channel on Sirius XM, and am amazed at how many times you hear the voice of William (Cannon) Conrad. There doesn’t seem to be any dramatic show of the 40s and 50s that he didn’t show up in; when he auditioned for Matt Dillon on the radio version of Gunsmoke, they were hesitant to hire him because his voice was so familiar.
It took a long time for him to break into TV because of his looks, but he did voice the narrator for Rocky and Bullwinkle
He was also the guy that John Travolta blew away in the back seat of the car in Pulp Fiction.
Kimmy Robertson (Lucy on Twin Peaks) was the voice of Arthur’s sister Dot on the cartoon version of The Tick.
