Gee, I have no idea why the Virgin Mary likes to show up in Illinois. Here’s a thread I started back in April, 2005 to announce the “momentous” news that the Virgin Mary was seen in a Chicago underpass.

Well for some reason, dear old Mary must love the “Land of Lincoln” because here’s the latest news on her most recent public appearance in Moline, Illinois:

Not to be outdone, (in the above link), it seems a woman in Mexico, Maine has found an image of Ms Mary on a burned out section of her home.
Call me cynical but if my house were to undergo a similar fate, I’d rather have the Virgin Mary hauling around a fire extinguisher, instead of plantng her image after the house burned down.

Nonetheless, in these tragic times it’s good to know that the Virgin Mary is always standind around and watching.

How can people not believe?

Keep in mind that this is the same town where a minister claimed that God stopped a January 1995 Nine Inch Nails concert with a snowstorm after he’d spent the week before it protesting the show. God didn’t really care about the other tour dates, though. I was pretty psyched for that show, too.

We would either had world peace or total chaos y’know, like we have now.

Illinois is a very God-y place. Though the women in most of the underpasses I’ve seen were anything BUT virgins.
